Designer Tips for Renovating a Home with Style Me Pretty Living Xx
Classic meets current--that’s the essence of Austin Bean Design Studio’s work, particularly one of their latest renovations. With noteworthy juxtaposition—designing a home that holds both peaceful white and neutral palettes and a powder room that packs a big punch—Bailey Austin and Mel Bean have captured the heart and personalities of their clients yet again with this home renovation. The ability to create noticeable but comfortable contrasts are trademark moves of these thoughtful designers. I’m a fan of their incredible ability to strike all the right balances and delighted to share their latest work here today on Style Me Pretty Living. Xx

MyDomaine Feature: Inside an LA Fashion Boutique with Taylor Anne Interiors
I don’t take it lightly—it being the gift of pursuing work that feeds my soul and fuels my creativity. Recently, I spent some time in LA working with Taylor Anne’s gorgeous Boutique space. When I have the opportunity to collaborate on styling and then the joy of capturing a brand in such a beautiful and graceful light----well, I’m left feeling an overwhelming emotion of joy and palpable gladness.
These images are a few of my favorites from what will go down in the books as a peaceful and productive LA trip. Surrounded by beauty and curated elegance, I was impressed with the effortlessness of the space. Less is always more with me and my lens. California, and this boutique, will always have a piece (or two) of my heart. For that, and all these beautiful moments, I’m forever grateful.
MyDomaine Feature: Natural Light and Lots of White
Functionality, sustainability and a measure of modern, chic style—that’s what Ashley Meier brought to the gorgeous space that is now her home. But it wasn’t always so, not in the beginning. According to Ashley, “From the outside, it was charming, but the charm stopped as soon as you walked through the front door. It had been renovated poorly though the years and the floorpan was not conducive to the way I wanted to live.” She went to work rethinking the space: rearranging rooms, opening up some spaces and tightening others. Dark walls and peeling wallpaper have been replaced with a crisp white palette that highlights windows, natural light, and beautifully restored hardwood floors. Speaking of the windows—I’m obsessed with all the sunlight that pours into the space.
Ashley has created both a haven and a functional space that works perfectly for her very active family. Thank you for letting me into your beautiful home, Ashley! I’m better for it and inspired by the transformation and lovely space you’ve created for your family.
