Raise your hand if you want to take better photos!?! Raise your hand if you want to be able to do this all on your phone!?! Well, today is your day! I believe the best camera we have is the one in our hand - always!! Whether I am 40,000 feet in the air, professionally collaborating with creatives across the country, or right at home in Nashville, I love having all the tools necessary to capture “in the moment” behind the scenes moments right here on my iPhone. My go to favorite app I use on a weekly basis is A Color Story. Developed by my two dear friends, Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman, the founders of A Beautiful Mess, are not only soulful creatives but also inspiring leaders in the tech space! Side Note: Here’s to badass women doing impactful things and supporting each other along the way!! Back to the App - I love it for many reasons: First, the tool options are comprehensive that even includes perspective warp adjustments. Second, I love the vast and fun filter options to quickly hone in on a specific aesthetic goal and lastly, I adore the selective edit tool. The selective edit tool launched a few years ago and this is what confirmed my loyalty to the app. This specific tool allows you to edit isolated parts of the photo without touching the rest of the image which is great for dodging and burning. To show you how I most commonly use the app, I took over A Color Story Instagram account to give you a step-by-step approach of how I produce images on the go. Have fun watching the video below and sending you all so much love!!
