Shameful Embarassing Admission: I used to watch Gossip Girl. One evening, while viewing my guilty pleasure I kept noticing the infamous Prada Marfa print. I was intrigued and put all search engines to use. I found Dallas's own Gray Malin two years ago and am still impressed with his work. His prints are a visual vacation that I can't wait to have grace one of my walls!! Enjoy the week. Xx AR

Color the neutral bold. I am a creature of habit. So, what happens when a creature of habit starts to design a space? Everything turns out white. With my last space, this was intentional with monochromatic linens and a variety of soft light textures. Literally, when I finished the house…. I was bored and wanted color. I have self diagnosed, design attention defect disorder. Once I finish a room, it needs to be redone (not literally but the wheel never stops turning). I am laying out a guide I hope many of you may find helpful when staring with a neutral space and incorporating color. Im using the wise words of my mother, "Alyssa, always stick to the timeless classics because trends are fleeting". This applies to almost everything, including men (just kidding and seeing if anyone reads this :) Xx -AR

Good Morning + Hello!! For the next 4 months, I will be inundating you with home inspirations so please bare with the Design File madness. Throughout the house hunting process, I have been asked numerous times whats your style?? I really don't subscribe to a specific style but ventured upon a builder who I absolutely adore!! I gravitate towards clean lines, symmetry, monochromatic spaces that have a hint of being sterile, yet comfortable. I'm less inspired by clutter and highly motivated by hints of subtle color and softness in a home. Enjoy my recent discovery of H2 Design + Build!!

Simple litte affirmations for you today. I have turned into a photoshop junkie, but love nothing more than simple words from the heart. I used a colorful scarf, snapped some pictures, spoke with another creative (elysian boutique) and created these for her for some social media content. I am grateful for all of my amazing and authentic girlfriends and am truly blessed for the creative doors I have had the opportunity of walking through and continue to walk through.
