A Perfectly Pretty (and Functional!) Playroom with StyleMePretty Living

Playrooms aren’t just for the kids, you know! In Memphis, I shot designer Sean Anderson’s recent project, a light, bright, and multi-functional playroom. The idea? Design a space that the family can grow into! Which means keeping the furniture classic and durable, the floor open with space for toys and tiny bare feet, and creating a workspace for Mom and Dad. Check, check, and check.

DOMINO MAGAZINE | Fall in love with Color, Collections, and A Beautiful Mess

Her blog is called A Beautiful Mess but there’s much more beauty than mess. I recently had the privilege to shoot the home of Elsie Lawson: blogger, lover of color, and new-to-Nashville transplant. As you might expect, her home is wall-to-wall inspiration—loaded with color, fun, and genuine personality. She’s mastered the art of displaying uncomplicated collections, knowing when to push color and when to rely on white paint to offer rest. Floor to ceiling, Elsie’s home strikes the perfect balance—bold yet soft, bright yet calm, patterns and peace. It’s a hive of creativity and life, full of house plants that make me happy.

As always, it’s an honor to work with Domino Magazineto see more of Elsie’s happy home, pick up the Fall Issue TODAY Xx And thank you, Elsie, for sharing your bright spirit and Beautiful Mess. Xx

Million Dollar Decorating Podcast Interview with Alyssa Rosenheck

Yes!!!! I said yes before I gave myself enough time to say no and it was such a delightful invitation!!  James Swan’s Million Dollar Decorator podcast exists to entertain, educate, and inspire people toward living beautifully. The podcast features enlightening conversations with the world’s leading designers, decorators, architects, artisans, and as of late, an architectural interiors photographer. Yes, That would be me!! Pinch me, please!!

Aside from admiring his work, I love his personality—what’s not to love about a man who’s book is titled, “101 Things I Hate about Your House.” Charming personality aside, the idea of joining James for his podcast created a serious case of “the nerves” but left me flooded with gratitude and appreciation for our conversation. It was an absolute joy and reminder for me to continue to pursue the things in life that scare me the most. These are the opportunities and moments that tend to be the greatest gift.

Thank you, James Swan, for appreciating my work and making room for me in your beautifully curated world. I hope you enjoy the podcast below and I hope we all continue to say yes to life's moments that continue to push our comfort level in a beautiful and progressive way. Xx
