Tis the season .............. ! With the holidays around the corner, I collaborated with the color queen herself, Kendall Simmons, as she showcased Christmas with all the Hues of the rainbow. This is a vibrant and playful way to approach the holiday spirit including fresh lavender and beautiful florals in the Christmas tree.

This time of year represents family, substance and blending the old with the new. I loved shooting this project for Kendall, because, while we are all rushing around closing out the end of the year and prepping for the holidays..... this shoot reminds me to live a life of color and creativity. You know me, white and neutrals are everything to me. But every now and then a shoot comes along that causes me to crave a little color. Kendall Simmon’s eclectic loft space is a prime example. Details that grab your attention like Cobain hanging out by a bright tomato orange bar cart call for a double take. Bold stripes on floor rugs, bright and color framed art, and the combination of eclectic furniture all work together to make a space that is uniquely Kendall.

As always, it’s the story behind the home that moves me. In pursuit of a larger life, Kendall and her husband sought smaller space. Leaving the suburbs behind, they downsizing to make room for more travel and bigger experiences. If her one of a kind loft is any indicator of the beauty, travel, and experiences that await her, well, there are beautiful and creative things ahead for Kendall.
